How to get to morocco

-By road

It is possible to get to Morocco by car via Spain, going to Malaga or Aigesiras then crossing over to Tangier by car-ferry. It is also possible to make the journey to Aigesiras or Malaga in a car-sleeper train.

-B y sea
The port of Tangier has regular passenger services from Sète and Aigesiras.
-By air
Numerous dai I y flights link Morocco with the world's main towns and cities.
-Language
The officiai language is Arabic, but French is commonly spoken as weil as English and spanish in the North of the Kingdom.
-Fairs and moussems
Ail the Kingdom's regions have a ri ch and varied folklore, with .traditional songs and dances, and colourful costumes. A large number of moussems, festivals and fairs liven up the seasons, celebrating Morocco's popular arts and traditions.
-The customs
Tourists should be guided by respect for the customs and a spirit  of tolerance when they are on Moroccan soil.

 

 

Passports and visas
For European Union citizens, a valid pas sport for individual, non-package tours, or a national identity card (valid for any person travelling with an organised package tour -with a hotel reservation voucher issued by a travel agency). For certain nationalities, a visa is required. Please note that unlike Europeans, British citizens do not have National Identification cards. Rs such, they require a pas sport to enter Morocco.
Vaccination
No vaccination certificate is needed.
Currency
The currency unit is the dirham (DH).
There are a large number of banks in the towns.
Currency ex change bureaux are present in the airports and in most hotels.
The main credit cards are accepted.

The cuisine
Considered to be the leading Rrab cuisine, it is universally known and appreciated. Each reg ion has its own specialities, which include couscous, the ultimate national dish, roast lamb mechoui, tajines, pastilla and ali the pastries made of almonds and honey Vou are offered mi nt tea at any time of day. Milk accompanied by dates, the symbol of Moroccan hospitality, provides a welcome for distinguished visitors.
